Thirteen motorists caught in a police speed trap in Witney were given £60 fines and three penalty points today.
Traffic officers carried out checks between 8am and 10am in Burford Road, near a crossing for children going to Tower Hill Primary School.
Altogether 33 motorists were caught travelling over the 30mph speed limit along the road.
Twenty people doing less than 40mph took up the option of on-the-spot road safety advice from county council officers.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "All those caught over 40mph were penalised. In an area close to a school, they were posing quite a danger to children."
It is the second time in recent months Operation Pride has come to Witney, following a similar speed check in Hailey Road.
