A major A34 interchange will close for four nights this month for essential bridge repairs.
The Botley Interchange in Oxford will be shut between 9pm and 6am from Monday, September 11 until the morning of Friday, September 14.
This is part of a wider improvement scheme to the structure of the bridge that will run until March next year.

Throughout this period there will be a series of overnight closures affecting journeys between the A34 and A420.
The one-way section of Seacourt Lane will remain closed for the duration of the work.
A spokesperson for National Highways said: “We’ll need to close the junction for four nights from Monday 11 to the morning of Friday, September 15 to install narrow lanes and create a safe working area which will remain in place for the duration of our scheme.”
Here is a list of the upcoming closures in full:
- Monday, September 11 to Thursday, September 14 – the Botley Interchange will be closed overnight between 9pm and 6am including the A420 from Cumnor to Botley.
- Monday, September 18 to Wednesday, September 27 – the A420 over the Botley interchange will be closed on weeknights between 9pm and 6am.
- Thursday, October 5 to Tuesday, October 31 – the A34 underneath the Botley interchange will be closed on weeknights between 9pm and 6am.
