Three eateries have been handed new food hygiene ratings. And it's good news for all of them.

Soldiers Of Oxfordshire Museum at Fletchers House, 10 - 12 Park Street, Woodstock, was rated five on August 16, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Five is top of the scale and means the hygiene standards are very good and fully comply with the law.

The £3.2m attraction was built in the grounds of the Oxfordshire Museum to honour soldiers from county regiments and was officially opened by the Princess Royal in 2014.

Royal Oak Ramsden at Ramsden, Chipping Norton, was also given the top rating of five on August 16.

Set in the picturesque West Oxfordshire village of Ramsden it has served as a coaching inn and pub for almost 250 years.

It was refurbished after it was bought by locals 'Notting Hill' film producer Tim Bevan and artist Amy Gadney, two years ago.

Last December it made The Sunday Times list of 100 Best Places to Stay in Britain for 2023.

And Soross takeaway at Unit 8 Marigold Square, Shilton Park, Carterton, received the very good five rating on August 15.
