Runners will compete in an inaugural event as 10k and marathon races take place in Henley this Sunday (September 3).
RunThrough, a running events company, has organised a run which provides participants with the opportunity to take in the “breathtaking views” along the River Thames and to explore the trails which wind around the picturesque town.
Participants will receive a unique themed medal after they have completed the course and will be able to access their time online.
Matt Wood, co-founder of RunThrough, told the Oxford Mail: “We are absolutely thrilled to bring the RunThrough Henley River 10k and half marathon races to Henley.
“We have carefully crafted the race routes to provide a truly unique experience.
“All runners taking part will be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of this beautiful town while pushing themselves to be active and achieve their goals.
“Part of RunThrough’s mission is to inspire an active nation through running and the more fantastic events like this one we bring under our banner the closer we come to achieving this."
RunThrough will also be working with Alzheimer’s Research UK and aims to run events which are always accessible for all ages and abilities.
Registration for the RunThrough Henley River 10k and half marathon remains open and places can be claimed via the events website.
