Holly Willoughby surprised viewers on Sunday night with her cameo in the Oxfordshire-filmed series Midsomer Murders.
But some fans were left feeling unsatisfied with her appearance in the murder mystery show.
The ITV star featured in the episode titled ‘The Witches of Angel’s Rise’ which aired at 8pm.

She plays herself and can be seen sitting on a throne as a guest of honour at a psychic convention.
In the scene, one of the programme’s detectives asks: “Is that the queen of daytime?”
Ms Willoughby described her cameo in the show as a ‘dream come true’ and first announced it back in 2021.
Midsomer Murders has been filmed in several places across Oxfordshire, including Wallingford and Henley.
The main market square in Wallingford has featured heavily in the show with many residents taking on the role of extras.
In Henley, you can take part in a tour of the filming locations along the river.
Other Oxfordshire towns that have featured in the series include Warborough and Watlington.
After the airing of the show last night, Midsomer Murder fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to express their thoughts on the episode.
One fan wrote: “Is that the Queen of Daytime? As if anyone would say that."
Others, however, were more supportive of the ITV star.
One person, leading off the script, said: “‘Is that the Queen of Daytime?’ Yes. Yes it is!”
While another added: “Forgot she was going to be in Midsomer Murders. Love it. Can see her beaming.”
Midsomer Murders is a crime drama series that first premiered back in 1997.

The show focuses on various murder cases that take place in the fictional English county of Midsomer.
Midsomer Murders has had two lead stars since it first aired- John Nettles as Detective Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby until he retired in 2011 and more recently Neil Dudgeon as DCI John Barnaby who is Tom’s younger cousin.
Mr Dudgeon has described the ITV star as ‘great’ and ‘thoroughly professional’ in the show.
