A jilted husband from Witney planted a tracking device on his wife's car to trace her to her new home, a jury heard.

Michael License, 55, discovered his wife Wendy, who had walked out on him, had gone to a flat in Poole, Dorset - and is accused of then plotting an attack on her.

Mrs License told the jury at Bournemouth Crown Court yesterday she was approached by two men and punched by one of them outside her new home in Brownsea Road, Sandbanks, Poole.

She said one of her two attackers told her: "You have caused a lot of people a lot of trouble."

Mrs License said she was taped up to stop her screaming when the attack happened at 7am on December 19, 2006, then punched in the left side of the face and kicked in the kidneys and hip.

Part of her shoulder length hair was cut off with a razor, she said, and her shoulder bag and trainers were removed.

Everton Bailey, 41, from Mandarin Way, The Chase, Derby, is alleged to have been one of the attackers and denies conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm.

License, now of Lasne Crescent, Brockworth, Gloucestershire, also denies the conspiracy.
