A shop was broken into during the early hours by a group that targeted the tobacco cabinet.

Thames Valley Police received a report of a burglary at KP Stationers on Market Place in Wallingford at around 2.30am yesterday morning, Monday, August 21.

The shop owners said the burglars targeted the tobacco gantry and had left the store before police arrived.

Owners of the shop took to social media to let customers know that the store would be closed whilst officers continued to investigate during the day.

The store partly reopened for the last hour of the day yesterday and has fully reopened this morning (August 22).
