Police and fire officers spoke to the public about water safety in a riverside event in Wallingford on Saturday (August 19).
The talk by the Didcot and Wallingford Neighbourhood Policing Team and Dan Reed from Wallingford Fire Station took place at Riverside Park and Pools.
The officers, who were joined by Wallingford Mayor Dan Beauchamp, engaged with the community and spoke to the public about water safety.

They advised swimmers to ‘lean back, relax, and float’ if they got into trouble in the water.
A police spokesperson said: “As the weather improves, remember to stay safe around open bodies of water.”
In June, there were reports of youths using private boats to jump into the river in Wallingford, as well as using bad language.
