The Times said: "Say no to rubbish bread and dry, dull pastries — the bakeries below are some of the best in the country, specialising in heritage grains, artisan loaves and buns so delicious food lovers queue for them"
Chosen by Charlie Hibbert, head chef at Ox Barn at Thyme, The Bakery by Knife and Fork, which specialises in gluten-free bread, made the list.
He said: “Although not strictly in the Cotswolds, this is a stone’s throw away and worthy of a mention.
“All the bread is gluten-free and delicious. We use the poppy seed loaf at the Ox Barn”.
The bakery currently offers a range of over 20 gluten-free baked goods.
A description on their website reads: "We are an independent, family business baking 100% gluten-free bread and granola with the taste & texture you crave.
"Being coeliac and having two coeliac children I completely understand how tricky it can be to find gluten-free bread that is actually tasty, nicely textured and nutritious.
"That’s how this whole bakery adventure started and it is how the bakery continues to grow; making bread without compromise on taste or health!"
