Dave Green hit his fourth six of the season in a 14 doll-haul as he helped Black Swan to a 2-1 away win at George B, Littlemore in Section 2 of the Greene King Oxford & District League.
In a tight contest, Swan won the opener 19-18, but lost the next 23-22.
George then set 24 in the deciding leg and with Black Swan only replying with seven from their first four players, all looked lost.
Incredibly, the last four players clanged off 20 dolls including Green's six to give them victory 27-24. Craig Beal bagged 14 dolls.
Cricketers' Neil Lyon clanged off 15 dolls in vain as they lost 2-1 to Three Pigeons in Premier/Section 1.
Gary Smith hit a six for Garsington Sports, only for his side to lose 2-1 against George A.
Phil Simpson whipped off a baker's dozen as Donnington Club beat Cowley Cons Club 2-1 in Section 3.
They won the first 14-13, lost the next 19-16, before winning the decider 22-12.
Section 4 leaders Cowley Workers stay unbeaten after seeing off Quarry Gate 2-1.
After losing the first 21-20, they won the next two 19-17 and 26-19.
Andy Webb hit a six for Cowley, while Colin Richardson top-scored for Quarry Gate with 11 dolls.
Section 5 leaders Vikings lost their unbeaten record in a 2-1 defeat to Chandos Arms.
Vikings never really got started as Chandos took full advantage, winning all three legs in a 17-13, 17-12, 20-16 scoreline.
Jeff Glenister hit his first ever six as Lord Kitchener B beat Red Lion Garsington 2-1.
They won first 18-14, before taking the second on a three-stick shoot-out after tying 19-19.
Lion won the final leg 19-17, Glenister top-scoring with ten.
Team Monarch lost 2-1 to Golden Ball A in Section 6.
Locked at 1-1, Team Monarch set 20 in the decider.
After a slow start Golden Ball left anchorman Sam Turner two to win.
He hit the doll with his first, before knocking off the winning doll with his last.
Darren Cox top-scored with 12 dolls for Monarch.
In Section 7, Highfield Social Club won 2-1 against Barley Mow, in a scoreline of 13-12, 15-13, 13-6.
Plough ended leaders Red Cow's unbeaten start with a 2-1 success.
Red Cow won the opener 10-9, but lost the next two 14-7, 13-9.
Six Bells A got off the mark in Section 8 with a 2-1 win against Chandos Arms B.
Chasing 21, Chandos anchorman Chris Lee whipped off the four dolls for the leg.
Bells won the next 16-12 and then took the decider 13-12.
