Costco is planning to open a new store in Oxford within the next two years, reports The Sun.
The discount retailer hopes to open up to 14 new locations across the UK “as soon as possible”, a source told the tabloid newspaper.
Costco has drawn up a list of the areas earmarked for warehouses, although the exact locations are yet to be determined.

The list includes:
- Oxford
- Chelmsford
- Exeter
- Brighton
- Portsmouth
- Bournemouth / Poole
- Colchester
- Cambridge
- South East London
- Wolverhampton / North West Birmingham
- South West Birmingham
- Maidstone
- Preston
- South Glasgow
It is understood that Costco is working with property developers Chase Commercial to find and convert the new sites.
The wholesale warehouse chain currently has 29 stores across the country - and the nearest ones for Oxfordshire residents are in Reading and Milton Keynes.
