It is touch and go whether today will be the hottest of the year so far in Oxfordshire.
The Met Office is forcasting mid-afternoon temperatures of about 25C (77F), though highs of 28C are expected elsewhere in the South East.
The hottest day so far in Oxfordshire was Wednesday, May 11, when a temperature of 25.2C (77.4F) was recorded at RAF Benson.
A spokesman for the Met Office said readings at Benson and RAF Brize Norton at 11am showed temperatures of 22.9C (73.2F) and 22.2C (72.0F) degrees respectively.
The day is expected to end with light rain overnight.
