Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash on the A40 in Oxford yesterday.
The accident happened between the Marsh Lane flyover and Cutteslowe roundabout shortly before 3.30pm.
A red Peugeot 106 left the road and hit trees on the central reservation.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman from Buckinghamshire, was freed by firefighters and taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital.
She suffered serious injuries but they are not life-threatening.
The road was closed for three hours.
