A man was found dead in his car with an apparent gunshot wound, an inquest heard today (August 16).
Alan Watkins aged 56 from Radcot near Faringdon died on August 2 at Thrupp Turn just off Radcott Road.
He was found unresponsive in his vehicle at around 3.15pm with what is believed to have been a gunshot wound to his head.

His cause of death following a post-mortem was given as massive head trauma.
Mr Watkins was a landlord at Ye Olde Swan pub in the village.
The inquest into his death was opened at Oxford Coroner’s Court today (August 16.)
The date for the conclusion of the inquest has been set for February 1 at 11.15am.
The purpose of an inquest is to determine the circumstances of an unnatural death.
