More than 100 rubber tyres have been dumped by the side of a road in Banbury.
Cherwell District Council has asked for help to “catch the perpetrator of this tyre-some fly-tip” on the Banbury Lane, off Overthorpe Road.
The authority believes the 116 tyres were dumped on the evening of Wednesday, August 9, or in the early hours of Thursday
Its street cleansing team were called to the scene and pulled the tyres out of a ditch ready for removal.
The council urged those with information to get in touch.
“Perhaps you witnessed a tipper truck in the area or caught some suspicious activity on your car's dashcam,” it said.
Fly-tipping is a criminal offence which is committed if waste is dumped in a place not allowed by a waste management licence.
