A MAN who denies raping a 15-year-old girl had sex with her mother hours before the alleged attack, a court heard yesterday.

Jamie Hall told police he believed his accusor was angry with him for having sex with her mother or because he stopped having sex with her, prosecutor Peter Coombe told Oxford Crown Court.

Mr Coombe said Hall, 25, from Fettiplace Road, Barton, had been drinking at his alleged victim's house on the night of August 10 last year.

He said the girl had gone upstairs to sleep in her mother's bedroom, while her younger brother slept by the side of the bed.

Hall then left the house, but returned and told his alleged victim's mother he had been locked out before going upstairs and raping the girl, Mr Coombe said.

Mr Coombe said after Hall was arrested he claimed he had had sex in the toilet with the girl's mother hours before the alleged attack.

He said Hall did not deny having sex with the girl later, but said it was consensual and he had stopped because he started thinking of his child.

In a video taped interview shown to the court, the girl said she had told Hall to stop once or twice during the 30- to 45-minute attack and added she felt "horrible" after being raped.

She said: "I was going to run a bath because I just felt dirty and I really wanted to wash."

Sumita Mahtab, defending, asked the girl via videolink: "Are you upset and angry with Jamie because he slept with your mum and then you?"

She replied: "No. I don't know if he did sleep with my mum or not."

Hall denies one count of rape, one count of sexual assault and two counts of sexual activity with a child.

The trial is expected to finish on Thursday.
