Police have just re-opened the A40 after a woman suffered serious injuries in a crash today.
The road was shut westbound between Marsh Lane in Headington and the Cutteslowe roundabout after the collision at 3.25pm.
The woman had to be cut out of her red Peugeot 106. Firefighters said it hit a tree while police said the collision was with the central reservation.
The woman was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, a police spokesman added.
