How quaint that the Governor of the Bank of England should have to write to the Chancellor of the Exchequer - or was it the Prime Minister? - explaining why inflation was disturbingly above the two per cent target.
One might have hoped that such individuals had reasonable insight into such matters.
Anyway, if inflation is anything like as low as 3.3 per cent, I'm a winner of the Nobel Prize for economics.
