Detectives probing a River Cherwell death have been given another 30 hours to quiz a murder suspect.
An officer was at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday afternoon (August 10) to ask permission for further time to interview the 25-year-old woman.
The magistrates allowed detectives a further 30 hours to hold her without charge.
The woman, who is believed to have appeared in front of the justices via video link, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the death of 30-year-old Jorge Carreno in July 2021.
The body of the warehouseman, who lived in Wilkins Road, Cowley, was found by dog walkers at Parsons Pleasure.

He had been out drinking at the Cow & Creek bar in Oxford city centre on the night of July 24.
He left the bar at 2.10am and was seen with a mysterious hooded figure in Radcliffe Square later that morning.
Mr Carreno was last seen walking towards the Marston cycle path in South Parks Road, still with the unknown individual.
His inquest last year heard that it was more likely than not that he had drowned while under the influence of alcohol. There was bruising on the left side of his body and on his head.
On Wednesday, Det Supt Kevin Brown of Thames Valley Police said his detectives were keeping an ‘open mind’ about how Mr Carreno died.
Despite the arrest of a woman on suspicion of murder, the investigation ‘remains [into] an unexplained death’, he said.
An hour after his statement was sent to reporters, white-suited forensics officers could be seen searching a bungalow in Crotch Crescent.
A Toyota sports car was removed from the drive on the back of a recovery vehicle.
The house remained cordoned off on Thursday morning, with police tape preventing people from walking down a footpath between Crotch Crescent and Marston Road.
A single constable could be seen guarding the front gate of the house.
