ANITA BETTLE, 57, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted two counts of common assault and an attempt to steal toiletries at Tesco on Abingdon Road and assaulting a police officer at Abingdon police station. All the offences were committed on July 5. Separately, she accepted stealing from Tesco in incidents in March, June and July. She was ordered to pay £150 in compensation and given a community order with a drug rehabilitation requirement. Bettle was also ordered to pay £50 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

OLIVER HIRON, 35, of Edgcote, near Banbury, admitted drink driving a Toyota Hilux 4x4 on Ermont Way, Banbury, on July 8. Tests showed he was three times the legal limit, blowing 103mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35. The magistrates imposed a two year driving ban and a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work. He must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

LAWRENCE HARPER, 50, of no fixed address, accepted damaging Rymans’ window in Queen Street, Oxford, on July 8. He received a conditional discharge and must pay £100 in compensation to the stationers.

SHAMAS ULQAMAR, 35, of Ansty Road, Coventry, admitted failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis in Banbury on July 9. He was fined £230, banned from driving for three years and must pay £177 in costs and surcharge.

DEAN CAVANAGH, 51, of Brierley Hill, Dudley, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Soda Kodiaq on junction 11 of the M40 near Banbury on July 11. Tests showed he had 95mgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, slightly less than three times the legal limit. He received a £620 fine, three year roads ban and must abide by a 12 month alcohol rehabilitation requirement. The bench also ordered he pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

JACK LECKIE, 36, of Waine Rush View, Witney, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He received a community order with up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days and was fined £200. He must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

ARNAUD GARNIER, 51, of Millington Road, Wallingford, was found guilty of two breaches of a non-molestation order in January. He was given 80 hours of unpaid work and ordered to complete the building better relationships course with the probation service as part of a two year community order. He must pay £775 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

DEQUAN FRANCIS, 19, of Ladenham Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour in Park End Street on February 18. He was given a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and up to 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He must pay £85 in costs.

NICHOLE SMITH, 42, of no fixed address, admitted common assault in Oxford on January 23. She was ordered to pay £50 in compensation.

MARLEY VINCENT, 18, of Woodford Halse, Daventry, pleaded guilty to possession of a ‘throwing dagger’ in Alma Road, Banbury, on July 6. He was also in possession of cocaine. He was given a community order with 120 hours of unpaid work and up to 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.
