Gas works on a major route in Oxford are due to be in place until September.
Traffic on the Botley Road is being diverted into different lanes due to road works as the next stage of the scheme has an impact towards the retail park end of the major route.
Scottish Southern Electricity Networks confirmed that the works are being carried out at the request of other utilities to enable them to connect to essential services such as telecoms.

The work began on July 31 and is not due to clear until September 1.
This comes following the closure of the road at the rail bridge by Network Rail to allow for major development of the station to be carried out.
The road will be shut until October with a similar closure scheduled to take place for six months next year.
