A pedestrian killed as he walked home from a party with friends has been named.
Jonathan Diliberto, 22, died at the scene after a collision with a black Renault Clio on the A338 between East Hanney and Frilford in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Mr Diliberto, of Gardiner Close, in Abingdon, was walking with a group of seven people towards Frilford when the collision happened at around 12.40am.
The black Renault Clio was travelling in the same direction and also collided with an 18-year-old man who remains at the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious injuries.
Police have interviewed the driver but not made any arrests.
Detectives are appealing for any witnesses who saw the car involved or the collision itself.
It is believed the group of pedestrians had been at a party in East Hanney earlier in the evening.
Flowers have been left at the crash site by friends and family.
Sgt Bill Sykes, of Abingdon Roads Policing, said: "There may have people that could have seen the group of men walking along the road or the car being driven before the collision and I urge anyone with any information to contact me."
Police only made an appeal for witnesses shortly after midday today.
Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or speak anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
