A 22-year-old man has died after colliding with a car while walking along a road during the early hours of yesterday morning.
The man, who has yet to be named, was walking with seven other people on the A338 from East Hanney towards Frilford.
At around 12.40 a black Renault Clio travelling towards Frilford collided with two of the pedestrians.
The 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and an 18-year-old man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver stopped at the scene and police have not made any arrests.
Sgt Bill Sykes, of Abingdon Roads Policing, said: "There may have people that could have seen the group of men walking along the road or the car being driven before the collision and I urge anyone with any information to contact me."
Police only made an appeal for witnesses shortly after midday today.
