An Oxford college will appear on the notoriously difficult quiz show University Challenge for their first round match this evening (August 7).
Christ Church will take on the University of Southampton for a place in the second round at 8.30pm on BBC2.
University Challenge returned this summer with a new quiz master, journalist Amol Rajan.

He took on the role after Jeremy Paxman stepped down after 28 years.

Christ Church’s team for this year consists of students Dean, Gorgianeh, Wotton and Lowe.
The Oxford college won the competition back in 2008.
Last week, Oxford Brookes university lost a close first round match to Birbeck, University of London.
Despite leading for much of the contest, the Brookes team came away with 205 points to Birbeck’s 220.
