The county council is asking for views on plans to install new automatic number plate recognition cameras (ANPR) in Didcot.

A public consultation has been launched by Oxfordshire County Council so householders can give their opinions on proposals to install two ANPR cameras on Diamond Drive in Great Western Park.

The cameras would help enforce the buses only ‘gate’ restriction which lies between the southern part of Diamond Drive and the northern part of Larch Drive, which is 30 metres north of the junction with Willow End.

The bus lane is intended to be used by local buses and pedal cycles only and exemptions will be put in place for emergency vehicles.

Responses to the consultation need to be in by 5pm on September 15 and the council will then review these responses.

These responses will then be presented to Andrew Gant, cabinet member for highway management, at a meeting scheduled for later in 2023.
