A packed programme of family-friendly fun to celebrate National Greyhound Week is being planned at Oxford Stadium - with free admission for everyone.
The Cowley venue will open its doors from 4pm on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, with the first of 11 live races due at 6.17pm.
As a bonus, all racegoers who book their free admission ticket online will be able to claim one free alcoholic or soft drink on arrival at one of the stadium’s five bars within its main complex.

Racegoers will be able to mark their card ahead of racing by listening to a series of conversations with trainers, owners and stadium staff while a £2,000 Tote jackpot has been guaranteed for anyone who picks the winner in all selected races.
Spin The Wheel will make a popular return too, with additional prizes up for grabs to those fortunate to land the wheel on the number which corresponds to the jacket of the winning greyhound in the relevant race.
Kevin Boothby, Oxford Stadium managing director, said the stadium’s offer forms part of his commitment to bringing the good times back to Sandy Lane.
“We know times are tough for many families living within the immediate vicinity of Oxford Stadium,” said Mr Boothby.

“Support for our regeneration has never ceased to amaze us, so as a thank you we’re launching this special free admission and drink offer to everyone for our Bank Holiday August fixture.
“This is our way of giving back to those who volunteered when we first secured the lease to reinstall Oxford Stadium to its former glory, the thousands who pack our terraces on Wednesday nights for speedway and the local community who have been so supportive.
“Bringing this much-loved multi-purpose stadium back into the hands of the local community has been immensely rewarding.
"As we approach the first anniversary of our greyhound racing operation, we hope as many people as possible can join us in celebrating Oxford’s feel-good story of the decade by enjoying a free night out on us.”
Speedway, another much-loved local sport, has also returned to the stadium.
The Bank Holiday bonanza coincides with the first ever National Greyhound Week launched by the Greyhound Board of Great Britain (GBGB) which will showcase the sport’s present-day operation via a seven-day roadshow of events.
