CRICKET: Connor Morrison was the hero for St Birinus (Didcot) in their 72-run victory over Abingdon in the Oxfordshire Under 13 Cup semi-final.

He made 43, and with Joe Butcher hitting an unbeaten 33, St Birinus made 118-7.

And then he took 5-14 to dismiss Abingdon for just 46.

Morrison also played a leading role in St Birinus's four-run victory over Magdalen College School (Oxford) in the quarter-final.

He top-scored with 40 in St Birinus's 97-7, before Mag- dalen were restricted to 93-9.

Henry Box crushed Warriner (Bloxham) by ten wickets in the other semi-final.

Josh Crossley (50no) and Liam Hare (46no) were in sparkling form as Henry Box crusied past Warriner's 98-3.

St Gregory the Great (Oxford) saw off Henry Box by 66 runs in the Bunbury Under 12 Cup quarter-final.

Dominic O'Connor hit 36 in St Gregory's 98-4, before Wasim Latif (4-6) helped to skittle Henry Box for 32.

Faringdon raced to a seven-wicket victory over Burford in the Oxfordshire Under 15 League.

Burford posted 87-9 off 20 overs, before Nigel Hume (39) took Faringdon to victory.

Cherwell (Oxford) were shot out for 71 by Lord Williams's (Thame), Will Rooney taking 3-8. Michael Beard then scored 26 and Matt Tapping 21 in Lord Williams's 72-4.
