Roadworks at a key A34 junction are likely to remain in place for most of the week, a gas company has said.
Gas distribution network SGN enforced an emergency closure of Lodge Hill junction in Abingdon on Saturday (July 22).
The closure caused delays to motorists and buses were forced to divert via Kennington.

The road reopened at around 12.45pm on Saturday, but with two-way temporary traffic lights in place.
Waseem Hanif, a spokesman for SGN said: “We're continuing emergency repairs to our gas network on Oxford Road, Abingdon.
“Our engineers have made great progress and have removed the road closure in Oxford Road, between its slip roads for the A34.
“The northbound slip road onto the A34 is also now open.
“However, two-way traffic lights are still needed at this location for us to complete these urgent repairs.
“It's still too early to say how long our work will take to complete at this stage.
“The traffic lights will likely remain well into this week.
“We're working as quickly and safely as possible to repair our network.”
Councillor Nathan Ley, who represents Abingdon North on Oxfordshire County Council, was at the scene on Saturday morning and alerted motorists to the disruption.
It came as the A34 was closed for several hours on Saturday morning after a two-vehicle crash near Abingdon in the southbound carriageway.
