Shoppers were thrilled when plans for a new Lidl supermarket in Oxfordshire were approved last year, with many confident it would provide jobs and bring general improvements to the area.
But some may be wondering when construction will start on the discount supermarket, which is set to be built next to Elm Farm Business Park near Wantage.
Here is the latest on what stage the Lidl plans are at.

Lidl and GSC Estates first submitted its plans over two years, but they were rejected over concerns it would take up too much green space.
But a new application submitted in February 2022 was approved following mass public support.
It was announced in October that construction would start in January this year with an opening date of early 2024.
But earlier this year, a spokesperson for Lidl said it would need to work through planning conditions with the council before construction could start.

When planning permission is approved, conditions are often attached which need further details to be submitted and approved by the council. These are known as 'discharge of conditions' applications.
Several of these applications have been made by Lidl to the council over the last few months, with some approved and others refused.
It means construction dates are yet to be fixed, but it appears that shoppers will have to wait a ‘Lidl’ more time for their new supermarket.
