A pub in Wantage has been awarded a new food hygiene rating.
The Abingdon Arms on 87 Grove Street in Wantage was visited by a Food Standards Agency inspector on June 15.
The pub was given a four out of five food hygiene rating.

The food hygiene inspector assessed the pub according to the following categories: hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and management of food safety.
The inspector gave the pub the following ratings:
Hygienic food handling: Good
Cleanliness and condition of facilities: Generally Satisfactory
Management of food safety: Good

This latest rating means that of the Vale of White Horse's 112 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 69 (62 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
