KYAN TINGEY, 23, of Bywater Drive, Banbury, admitted possession of a kitchen knife in Banbury on May 13 this year. He received a community order with alcohol and mental health rehabilitation programmes and up to 26 rehabilitation activity requirement days. The magistrates refused to impose a Serious Violence Reduction Order, deeming it not ‘necessary or proportionate’. The knife was forfeit to the police and he must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

RYAN HOLLANDS, 31, of Marines Drive, Faringdon, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Nissan Qashqai on Portway in the town. Tests showed he had 73mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath; twice the legal limit of 35mcgs. He was caught on June 3. He was fined £500, banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £285 in costs and surcharge.

PETER BATCHELOR, 82, of Littleworth Park, Littleworth, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Rover 25 on Marcham Road, Abingdon. He was stopped on June 4, when it was found he had 41mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, just over the limit of 35mcgs. He was fined £89, banned from driving for a year and must pay £85 in prosecution costs and a £36 victim surcharge.

STEVEN ST JOHN, 44, of Wilsdon Way, Kidlington, admitted breaching a sexual harm prevention order imposed by Portsmouth Crown Court in February this year. In June, police in Kidlington found he had installed software designed to encrypt or delete data from a digital device and had ‘acquired items capable of storing images without notifying the police within three days’, court papers set out. He must do 100 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

MARK HARRIS, 34, of Henry Street, Reading, pleaded guilty to ‘stealing personal items of a value unknown’ belonging to a man in the car park at Bullingdon Prison, near Bicester, on June 19. No further detail was given in the charge, save that it was a ‘theft by finding’. Harris was jailed for eight weeks.

CARL DISKIN, 48, of Heathfield Road, Wandsworth, admitted possession of cocaine in Colchester last October. He appeared before the Oxford magistrates on a warrant. He was fined £40 and must pay a £16 victim surcharge, which goes towards funding services to support victims of crime.

TOBIAS BRUCE, 32, of Arthray Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to assault by beating at the Elements Bar, Cowley Road, on May 7. He received a community order, must wear an electronically monitored GPS tag and complete up to 18 rehabilitation activity requirement days with the probation service. He was ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

MARTYN BANKS, 62, of Hunts Close, Burford, pleaded guilty to drink driving a VW Polo on Hunts Close on May 9. Tests showed he had 109mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, more than three times the legal limit of 35mcgs. He was banned from the roads for 26 months and received a community order with up to 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.
