A trapped cyclist clung on to the side of a lorry before being dragged to his death under the front wheels, a court heard.
Trucker Andrew Stubbs, 40, of George Street, Bicester, is accused of causing death by dangerous driving after crushing Anthony Spink, 41, and then driving off with his bicycle wedged under the vehicle.
Stubbs travelled six to seven miles before stopping at a lay-by where he pulled the bike from under his cab and threw the mangled framework - along with bags containing his victim's possessions - in a field.
The DHL agency driver denies causing death by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.
Leeds Crown Court heard Stubbs had just made a drop at Homebase in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, when the incident took place.
The trial continues.
