The baby who died after falling into the River Thames has been named.
Ten-month-old Monica Parsons was rescued from the river near Goring Lock yesterday.
Her family live in Streatley, Berkshire, across the river from Goring.
Paramedics initially thought she had died, but a faint heartbeat was discovered when she arrived at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford but she died early today.
A post mortem is due to be carried out tomorrow.
Det Sgt Alun Watkins said: "This incident is being treated as an unexplained death and we are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident."
