This is the first picture of Wallingford murder-accused Mihai Hurmuz-Irimia.
The 29-year-old was photographed at the police station hours after he stabbed his wife, Katie, more than 170 times in their flat.
Jurors at Oxford Crown Court were shown the images this week, as prosecutors launched their case against the Romanian national – who faces a single charge of murder.
The pictures taken by the police detailed a number of apparent grazes or small marks on his face, neck, chest and hands.

He also had a larger scratch behind his left ear.
Asked about these injuries when she gave evidence on Monday, Home Office pathologist Dr Charlotte Randall said she was unable to say how the marks could have been caused.
The only wound that ‘may have been’ caused by a ‘sharp instrument’ was a small V-shaped mark on the defendant's neck, she said.
Hurmuz-Irimia denies murder. The trial continues.
