Six young men appeared at Oxford Crown Court today accused of kidnapping.
Imran Khan, 17, of Shelley Road, East Oxford, faces two charges of kidnap and one of violent disorder.
Ameen Mohammed, 18, of Tawney Street, East Oxford, faces two charges of kidnap.
Haroon Mohammed, 27, of Golden Road, East Oxford, faces two charges of kidnap and one of violent disorder.
And Soqab Dogar, 18, of Tawney Street, East Oxford, faces one charge of kidnap.
Two youths, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also each face two charges of kidnap and one of violent disorder.
Judge Patrick Eccles gave all six bail, on condition that they lived at addresses outside Oxford, obeyed an 8pm to 8am curfew, did not contact any prosecution witnesses and reported to police stations three times a week.
None of them will be allowed to enter Oxford except to attend court or solicitors' appointments.
The judge ordered them to return to the court to enter pleas on Friday, August 22.
The charges relate to an alleged incident on December 16 last year, when a boy said he was kidnapped from Rymers Lane, Cowley, and another on March 17 this year, when an 18-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped in Oxford Road, Cowley.
