Hawkwell House Hotel in Oxford is taking part in 50th anniversary celebrations.
Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House in Iffley is linking up with The Oxford Artisan Distillery to host a celebration of the Mercure Hotels chain on Thursday.
The day at the hotel in Church Way will begin with private tour and tasting sessions at the Headington-based The Oxford Artisan Distillery, which produces a variety of spirits from sustainable, heritage-farmed grains.

Following the tour, guests will return to Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel in Iffley for a tasting menu dinner at the hotel.
The menu specially crafted for the occasion consists of dishes infused and paired with the distillery’s local rye whiskey and gin.
Mercure specialises in traditional, locally managed hotels run by committed hoteliers and operates 899 locations in 61 countries.
Hawkwell House has been transformed into a boutique hotel following a £3.5m refurbishment.

Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House offers all day dining to guests and visitors to the hotel in its main restaurant and lounge as well as alfresco dining on the elegant, heated terrace all year round.
The hotel has three versatile events spaces and caters for a broad range of functions, from small business meetings to wedding receptions for up to 250 people.
Hawkwell House also features Frank’s restaurant and lounge area, and a stylish heated terrace where guests can relax, enjoy a cocktail or sample something from our seasonal menu.
The interior design includes a classic Oxford brogue and shirt theme throughout the hotel.
Located a short walk from Iffley Lock on the River Thames, Hawkwell House is about three miles from Oxford rail station.
Next to the main hotel is Elm House, a 15-bedroom house with private gardens which can be hired to offer groups of guests a stay within the hotel grounds.
