A beloved festival full of music, dance and artwork is coming back to Bicester with a new addition for its parade.

Beginning with a parade led by ‘lobster a la cart’, an inflatable lobster pulled around in a cart by a man dressed in royal-looking chauffeur attire, Bicester Festival is set to be a colourful sight this year.

The procession will leave old St Edburg’s School on Cemetery Road at 10.30am, meandering its way to Bicester Town Council’s headquarters at Garth Park.

From midday to 4.30pm guests can enjoy participatory stalls, local artists and community awareness projects.

The event will be lit up with performances from midday to 8pm too, including theatre, art, music and dance.

Festival favourite Molly Jin, who previously appeared in her school choir, youth theatre and as a soloist, will this year be singing some musical theatre and playing her violin on the bandstand at 2pm.
