Two people have been arrested on suspicion of 'possession with intent to supply’ drugs in Abingdon.

The arrests came after police community support officers found a vehicle that was suspected to be involved in drug dealing.

The incident was part of a 'busy set of shifts' for officers in the town last week, which also saw them detain a man on suspicion of being ‘drunk in charge’.

They also detained three suspects following reports of an anti-social behaviour incident, attended a fear for welfare incident involving a young lady, and completed a follow up visit to a vulnerable man who reported his phone stolen.

The officers held a meeting with a Vale of White Horse District Council CCTV supervisor to share information about the town centre, carried out licensing visits, visited the street pastors, and brought cakes to 'Splash of Pink’ day in the town centre hosted by Against Breast Cancer.
