Rosa’s Thai, the popular restaurant group founded by Saiphin and Alex Moore, is just weeks away from opening.

To celebrate the opening on Saturday, August 5, Rosa’s Thai Oxford will offer diners the chance enjoy 50 per cent off their bill during a 'soft' launch from Tuesday, August 1 to Friday, August 4.

The chain has occupied the George Street unit previously being used by another Thai restaurant called Busaba, which closed.

Chief executive Gavin Adair said: “We’ve just celebrated our 15th birthday and what better way to keep the party going than by opening this beautiful restaurant?

"We’re so happy to be joining the vibrant food scene in Oxford and can’t wait to get the doors open."

Rosa’s Thai started out as a market stall in London’s East End back in 2007, quickly becoming so popular that co-founder Saiphin Moore opened the first Rosa’s Thai restaurant one year later.

Since then it has become renowned for bringing its fresh, vibrant cooking, signature Thai hospitality and Bangkok café vibes to places across the UK.

The restaurant’s red exterior pays homage to the first Rosa’s Thai restaurant in London’s East End, while the interiors are inspired by the rich colours and eclectic style of Bangkok.

The restaurant’s walls are being decorated with photographs and artwork that tell the Rosa’s story which, combined with wooden accents and plants, create a welcoming environment for guests.

Diners at the 80-cover restaurant can feast on curries, noodles and stir-fries, all freshly cooked to Saiphin’s time-honoured recipes using the best of Thai produce.

This includes chilli pastes from the Huai Yod district and rice noodles from a third generation family business that has been making noodles for more than 80 years.

The menu features familiar favourites such as spring rolls, pad Thai and green curry, as well as Rosa’s cult dishes from rich red duck pineapple curry and fiery drunken noodles, to fragrant chicken larb and papaya salads.

Vegetarian and vegan diners are also well catered for, with popular dishes including spicy and sour Tom ka soup with Asian mushrooms, punchy Jungle curry with tofu and stir-fried aubergine with plenty of sweet basil.

Bubble teas and Thai-inspired cocktails will also be on offer for customers.
