Colleagues and friends of the much-missed occupational therapist gathered at the Warneford Hospital to unveil tributes to her at a memorial event.
Beatrix Ruckli, who died in September 2021, worked in the trust for over 25 years as an occupational therapist within the older adult community mental health team.
During her time in the trust, she gained her clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Brighton.
She ran the ‘Echoes’ art group for people with dementia. Beatrix believed that creative activity improves wellbeing in individuals with mental health conditions.
Her former colleagues gathered in the library at the Warneford Hospital to unveil a hand-made mosaic in her honour.
The design incorporates several flowers in keeping with her love of the outdoors. Following the unveiling, those gathered heard a short speech from Emma Croft. They then went on to the meadow to sow some wildflower seeds in Beatrix’s honour.
The tribute event held at the Warneford Hospital, is a healthcare facility which provides mental health services in Headington.
