Seven people were seriously injured in an early morning crash on the A40 in the early hours of Sunday morning (July 9).

A crash between a Mercedes Benz Vito and a Hyundai Santa Fe took place on the A40 at the junction of Horsemere Lane in Eynsham.

Police has since confirmed that seven people were sent to hospital with serious injuries, although it is not known how many of these were pedestrians.

It is understood these seven people do not have life threatening or life changing injuries.

The incident happened at around 12.15am on July 9.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman confirmed that an investigation was underway to “establish the cause and circumstances of the incident”.

No arrests have been made.

The next of kin have been informed and Thames Valley Police is working with those involved.
