Firefighters rescued a 'distressed' kitten from a pipe behind a bathroom toilet today (July 10).
The animal had become trapped in a property in the Barton area of Oxford.

Crews from Slade Park Fire Station were called to the incident at around 9.30am.
The team worked quickly to create an opening in the wall and gain access to the pipe.
Firefighters were then able to manoeuvre the kitten to safety and reunited him with his mother.
The fire service alerted the public to this on National Kitten Day, which was originally founded in the United States but which can be celebrated across the world.
The day is designed to raise awareness of the kittens and cats which need to be rescued every year.
