Hundreds of primary school pupils filled Oxford's Christ Church Cathedral with song this afternoon.
The historic cathedral echoed with voices from Wood Farm, Rose Hill, Bayards Hill, St John Fisher, Pegasus, Orchard Meadow, Windale and East Oxford primary schools.
The concert celebrated a year-long collaboration between Christ Church Cathedral School and the primary schools, during which small groups of choristers visited pupils and sang with them.
Christ Church Cathedral School headmaster Martin Bruce said: "It was brilliant. For some of them it was the first time they had been in a cathedral, the first time that had been in a concert, and the first time they had heard an organ played live.
"The choristers had a really good time going into the primary schools because they love singing and they love sharing their passion."
Mr Bruce said he hoped the project, jointly funded by the Oxfordshire County Music Service and the Department for Children Schools and Families, would become an annual event.
