CURTIS DOMBEY, 27, of Bolney Trevor Drive, Lower Shiplake, admitted drink driving a BMW X5 on Reading Road, Henley. Tests showed he had 127mlgs of alcohol in 100ml of blood after he was stopped on December 1 last year. The legal limit is 80. The magistrates fined him £120, banned him from driving for a year and ordered he pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £48 victim surcharge.

MARTYN DAVENPORT, 29, of Asquith Road, Oxford, admitted drug driving a Vauxhall Vivaro van on Banbury Road, Oxford, in January. Blood tests showed he was over the limit for benzoylecgonine and cannabis. He was sentenced to six weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year, with a three year driving ban and was ordered to pay £239 in costs and surcharge.

OMARIO BELL, 20, of Kibble Close, Didcot, was found guilty of assault by beating. He received 20 weeks’ detention in a young offenders’ institution suspended for a year. The court record noted as the reason for imposing a suspended sentence: the seriousness of the offence, multiple injuries caused and the fact the assault was committed in a domestic context. He was ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.

ZAHEER AHMED, 48, of Desborough Road, High Wycombe, was found guilty of assault by beating a woman in Chinnor last October. He received a community order with up to 27 rehabilitation activity requirement days, while a restraining order limits his contact with the victim until June 2025. Ahmed was ordered to pay £614 in costs and surcharge.

AMIR ABBASISADEGH, 20, of Stimpsons Close, Oxford, was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis in Oxford and driving the hatchback while unfit through drink. The offences were committed on February 12. The district judge imposed a community order with 120 hours of unpaid work and up to 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days. He was disqualified from driving for a year and a half and ordered to pay £514 in costs and surcharge.

ADAM DOLTON, 43, of Bascott Road, Bournemouth, admitted driving a Range Rover Evoque on the A34 near Islip while disqualified from driving. He was caught on February 26 this year. The judge imposed 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for a year, noting there had been a ‘wilful and persistent failure’ to comply with an existing community order. He was banned from the roads for a further 18 months and must pay £239 in costs and surcharge.

PHILLP HALL, 35, of St Dunstan’s Close, Monks Risborough, admitted failing to cooperate with a preliminary roadside breath test in Sermon Close, Oxford, on March 16. He also pleaded guilty to failing to attend an earlier hearing in breach of bail. He was fined £80 and given four penalty points. The magistrates also ordered he pay a £32 victim surcharge.

HEIDI MULLEN, 38, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to using disorderly behaviour and committing a common assault in Poundland, Banbury, and stealing clothing worth £31 from Woodgreen charity shop in the town’s High Street. All three offences were committed on April 20. She was jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay £75 in compensation to the man who was assaulted.
