An Oxfordshire pub that closed last summer has taken a big step to reopening after being taken over by new owners.
Oak Taverns, a Thame based pub company, has had an offer accepted on The Crown in Marcham, which closed in the summer of 2022.

In a post on the pub’s social media account, the company said: “The skies looked stormy yesterday but today the sun is shining as we have just had an offer accepted on The Crown.
"This now means the pub will soon be a Freehouse.
“We are Oak Taverns, a Thame based pub company who have been operating award winning cask ale pubs for over 30 years.
“Fingers crossed all goes smoothly, and we will keep you updated very soon.”
Last month, an application by villagers to turn the pub into a community-run business was denied by Vale of White Horse District Council.
