A 33-year-old teacher died after running onto the tracks and being hit by a train, an inquest heard today (July 6).
Alexandra Baish from Witney died on October 24 last year, 200 metres away from Finstock Railway Station.
Her cause of death following a post-mortem was given as massive trauma, the inquest heard.

Assistant coroner Nicolas Graham concluded that Mrs Baish’s death was a suicide.
He told Oxford Coroner’s Court: “On October 24, 2022 Mrs Baish took her own life when she ran onto the tracks near Finstock Railway Station and lay down in the path of a passenger train which struck her causing her death at the scene.”
