A woman was left in “shock” after a bus reversed into a shelter near the train station.
Keeva Patten was waiting for a bus heading in the direction of Thornhill Park and Ride on Monday, July 3, when a purple Oxford Bus Company bus suddenly reversed straight through the bus stop.
The bus stop, which was outside Oxford train station, was left covered in shattered glass and Ms Patten said the incident had left her “incredibly anxious and still in shock”.

Oxford Bus Company confirmed to the Oxford Mail that a “low speed incident” took place after one of their buses “collided with a bus stop”.
Ms Patten said: “I could have been seriously injured and although the only physical damage was a piece of glass in my hair, I am now incredibly anxious and still in shock.
“The fact that the driver didn’t even get out to ask me if I was okay was more shocking than the incident itself.
“I just wanted to catch the bus home and I expected to be safe sitting at a bus stop but clearly not.”

An Oxford Bus Company spokesman said: “It was immediately reported by the driver and is being investigated in accordance with established internal procedures.
“All our drivers undergo extensive training, uphold high driving standards and incidents of this nature are extremely rare.”
