Discharging the panel of 12 at Oxford Crown Court on Monday afternoon (July 3), trial judge Mr Justice Murray cited health issues from which defendant Liam Jones was suffering.
The trial has been plagued by delays since it was opened by prosecutor Sarah Gaunt last month.

Prosecutors say that Jones, 44, was responsible for beating alleged victim Phil Breach to death in a park between Nuffield and Wood Farm roads on the morning of November 30 last year.
Mr Breach, 59, died after receiving 37 separate blunt force trauma wounds. The injuries were focused on his head and neck, jurors were told.
