JERVAISE SHURETY, 54, of London Road, Loudwater, pleaded guilty to beating a man in Thame last August. He must pay £100 in compensation, was fined £120 and banned from the Birdcage Inn, Thame, for 12 months. The bench ordered he pay £298 in costs and surcharge.

PETER REEVE, 28, of Calthorpe Street, Banbury, admitted failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis in Banbury last October. He received a community order with 80 hours of unpaid work and was banned from driving for three years. He must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

WILLIAM CAWLEY, 27, of Cumnor Road, Filchampstead, pleaded guilty to driving an Audi A3 on Oxford Road, Kidlington, while over the drug drive limit for benzoylecgonine in October last year. He was caught over the limit for the same drug but on a different road, Bicester Road in Kidlington, in January. He was fined £300 and banned from the roads for a year and a half.

MARK HUGHES, 58, of Bartholomew Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Insignia on Bartholomew Road, Oxford, on May 14. Tests showed he had 55mcgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35. He was fined £200, banned from driving for 14 months and must pay £165 in costs and surcharge.

BROHNAN HENNIGAN JONES, 28, of Southfield Park, Oxford, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a breath specimen for analysis at Abingdon police station on May 14, having been stopped on suspicion of committing a traffic offence. He also admitted driving a Peugeot 107 on East Avenue, Oxford, while uninsured and unlicensed. He was ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work as part of a community order and was banned from driving for 30 months. The district judge ordered he pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

SAMANTHA DAVENPORT, 27, of Chapel Lane, Littlemore, admitted possession of cocaine in Oxford last June. She was cleared of assaulting a police officer on the same date. The cocaine was forfeit, she was fined £150 and ordered to pay £145 in costs and surcharge.

JARNAIL BAJWA, 48, of Marbury Drive, Bilston, admitted being drunk in charge of a BMW X5 on the M40 northbound between junctions nine and 10. Tests showed Bajwa was exactly twice the legal limit when stopped by the police on September 25 last year. The driver was fined £300 and banned from driving for three months for the drunk in charge offence and fined a further £300 for failing to surrender to the court on a previous occasion. The magistrates ordered the payment of £325 in costs and surcharge.

STEVEN EVANS, 32, of Long Dean, Henley, pleaded guilty to drink driving a Peugeot Bippa in Shepherds Green last November. Tests showed he had 237mlgs of alcohol in 100ml of breath, almost three times the legal limit of 80. Evans was banned from driving for two years and must do 60 hours of unpaid work and up to 10 rehabilitation activity requirement days as part of a community order. He must pay £199 in costs and surcharge.

SHARLENE ALDERSON, 35, of Hollow Way, Oxford, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating, threatening behaviour at the John Radcliffe Hospital, assaulting a nurse and security guard at the Oxford hospital, stealing a bottle of wine from the Co-op and possession of cannabis. She was jailed for a total of 40 weeks and ordered to pay £100 compensation to the victim of one of the assaults.
