A van driver was threatened with a metal bar and had his wing mirror smashed in a possible 'road rage' incident.
His Southern Electric van had paused at the roundabout on the A420 near Besselsleigh, at the A338 junction, at about 10.15am today when the driver of a white lorry, who had been behind him, pulled up, got out of his cab and threatened him with a metal bar before smashing the van's wing mirror, causing about £100 damage, a police spokesman said The victim, from Banbury, was not physically attacked or hurt, but was described by police yesterday as "shocked and shaken".
His assailant drove off in the direction of Swindon in a lorry which had Flatlight Ltd, Chippenham, written on the side.
He was described as white, of medium build, with very short hair and was wearing blue jeans, a cream T-shirt and had tattoos on both arms.
Pc Simon Jenkin said: "At the time of the confrontation, there were several people that could have witnessed the incident and I urge anyone with any information to contact me."
